Our clinic has used Vision Vet Manager and now VisionVPM software since 1995. We have a busy suburban small animal clinic in Auckland with four veterinarians, one manager and seven full time nursing staff. We have ten workstations throughout the clinic linked by intranet.

The software does everything we need a veterinary clinical management package to do. The fact that financial needs, payroll, stock control, creditor management, clinical records, marketing facilities and scheduling are all available in the one package makes it very attractive. Easy integration of reports and documents with Excel and Word are extra attractions.

And it is fast, it is reliable and easy to back up to ensure data is never lost!

Throughout our long term relationship with Vision we have found their staff excellent to deal with. They are receptive to new ideas for the software, are diligent in their approach to solving any problems we may have and offer very effective support for their product.

In May 2002 we installed the VisionVPM veterinary software program in our 3 branch rural mixed veterinarian practice. After a brief training program for our 26 member staff we began using the program on 1 June 2002. We were initially attracted to this program as it gave us the opportunity to handle our debtors and creditors with the one system.

Our main concern in purchasing a non-Australian product was in the quality of the after sales service. However we have found the after sales backup and assistance from the New Zealand based Vision Software to be exemplary. They are courteous and have quickly and efficiently attended to any changes that we have required, no matter how trivial.

Implementation of the program was far easier than we anticipated. Many of our staff had no experience with Windows based programs, but all learnt how to use VisionVPM quickly with very few problems.

Our patient management has been improved by using the VisionVPM program. It has allowed us to computerise our records giving each clinic instant access to them; the reminder system is effective and we are utilising the ability to print out individualised patient care sheets when required.

We are very happy with VisionVPM and recommend that any practice looking to purchase new veterinary software explore this program.

The Vet Centre Marlborough

We started using Vet Manager in 1998 and upgraded to VisionVPM in 2002. We find the programme very easy to use and teach, and new staff members who have never used the programme pick it up quickly.

We have 10 workstations which means that client and animal records as well as invoices are accessible to all staff members quickly - no hunting for hand written records!

The reports we can get out of the system are extremely flexible and we expecially like the feature of being able to export to Microsoft Excel and to merge with Word.

We use the Marketing and Reminder Schedule for a wide variety of direct marketing.  Because the programme is quite extensive, there is a lot of learning initially, but once mastered reports and list are very easy to obtain. 

Having a General Ledger system built in has made GST time stress free.  The Creditor module is also a great feature with stock being updated as soon as invoices are entered.

Support from VisionVPM has always been prompt and very helpful. We would most certainly recommend the program to any Vet Clinic.

We purchased a non-computerised clinic in July 2003. Having used many different veterinary computer systems, including VisionVPM, nationally and internationally computerisation was a priority for us. Following a thorough look at the options available we decided VisionVPM offered the solution we required. We have found VisionVPM easy to use and the support to be brilliant. If we have ever had a problem VisionVPM support have been able to talk us through it every time. Another gratifying aspect of VisionVPM support is if you have a suggestion for improvement they actually listen and do something about it!

We installed VisionVPM in July 2003. We were a little apprehensive at first but we have no regrets in changing to VisionVPM. We decided to go with VisionVPM after looking at numerous other products on the market. We found VisionVPM to have strong equine capability (including syndicates), was well priced and had good reports from other equine practices using the software.

VisionVPM very easily converted our existing data and full setup was completed in one day. I have found VisionVPM very user friendly and has saved time and money in many ways especially in the end of month procedure.

The support has been the best part of the VisionVPM experience, they are always there to help in every way especially the little things and nothing is ever a problem. They have also been open to all our ideas and modifications we have suggested to them.
